Level 4 Occupational Certificate in Early Childhood Development (ECD)

NQF LEVEL 4 • 12 MONTHS

For students who want to start or formalise their ECD training through the QCTO pathway. Applications close 31 July 2026.

Guidance: Perfect for entry-level educators looking to build a strong foundation.

Level 4 Further Education and Training Certificate in Early Childhood Development (ECD)

N4 - N6 • 18 MONTHS

For eligible students who want to complete the Level 4 ECD pathway through the ETDP SETA-linked route. Applications close 15 June 2026.

Guidance: Designed for aspiring teachers and ECD practitioners.

Higher Certificate in Early Childhood Development (ECD)

LEVEL 6 • 24 MONTHS

For students who have completed Level 4 and want to progress to Level 5. This pathway may support further study such as BEd Foundation Phase, subject to university admission requirements. Applications close 15 June 2026.

Guidance: The essential qualification for becoming a formally recognized Grade R practitioner and Entering the B.Ed. Foundation Phase
